Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds reprise their roles as Wolverine and Deadpool, respectively, but in addition to that, the film brings back a lot of beloved characters, some stars you might’ve forgotten were in a Marvel movie.

“Yes the cameos and surprises are epic, and the humor, action, blood-soaked fights, and needle drops are tremendous, too… but it’s the respect and love for the characters that win you over,” tweeted Fandango’s Erik Davis in his review of the film.

Remember 2005’s Fantastic Four? While most fans will recognize Chris Evans as Captain America, he also played Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch, in Deadpool & Wolverine. Love the crossover, but don’t ask us how Evans was allowed to play two MCU heroes.

Here’s a tidbit for you, Channing Tatum was supposed to star in an X-Men series film centered on the superhero Gambit, but it never came to fruition because he wasn’t available for that character’s film introduction in X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009. Instead, the role went to Taylor Kitsch, but it wasn’t well-received. In Deadpool & Wolverine, Tatum makes his long-awaited appearance as Gambit, and fans are ELATED.

Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner played the assassin-for-hire, Elektra, in the 2005 movie that bore the hero’s name and she makes a cameo return in Deadpool & Wolverine. The film reportedly didn’t feature Ben Affleck’s Daredevil due to studio concerns over his relationship with Jennifer Garner having an impact on the movie.
